We can ship to anywhere in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Three ducted air handlers rated 12,000, 12,000 and 12,000 BTU run from a single 35,000 BTU condenser, so three spaces can sit at three different temperatures. The manufacturer rates it 22.5 SEER2 for cooling and 10 HSPF2 for heating, with R454B refrigerant and low ambient heating to -25°C (-13°F).
A single thermostat reads one room and averages the rest. Closing vents to rebalance a space just moves the problem and strains the blower. Somebody is always adjusting it and somebody else is always changing it back.
Three zones, three wall thermostats, three set points. The 12,000 BTU handler can cool one space while the 12,000 BTU handler heats another, both drawing from the same 35,000 BTU outdoor unit.
One outdoor unit, three rooms, three numbers on three controllers. The compressor speeds up or eases off to suit whichever zones are calling, instead of running flat out.

Everything in the photo ships together: the 35,000 BTU outdoor unit, three ducted air handlers of 12,000, 12,000 and 12,000 BTU, the copper line sets and a thermostat per zone. Each handler feeds its own short duct runs, so the 12,000 BTU zone can run while the other two sit idle.
On a lot of multi-zone quotes the copper is a line item. Here each zone arrives with its own 16 ft insulated line set and 19 ft of communication wire, along with sleeves, caps, screws, putty and tape. Three wall thermostats are in the box as well, one per zone.

The outdoor unit carries a chassis electrical heater, which keeps the base pan clear so meltwater does not freeze under the coil. The manufacturer rates heating down to -25°C (-13°F) and cooling up to 55°C (131°F). Natural Resources Canada notes most air source heat pumps stop somewhere between -15°C and -25°C, so plan on a backup heat source for the coldest nights.
The EnergyGuide panel in this photo is the honest summary: 22.5 SEER2 on cooling, 10 HSPF2 on heating, with R454B refrigerant in the system. The graph beside it shows why an inverter holds temperature better than a fixed-speed compressor that only knows on and off. It carries ETL and AHRI certification.

One 35,000 BTU outdoor unit runs all three ducted air handlers. Each zone starts, stops and holds its own temperature, so an empty room costs nothing.
A common rule of thumb is 20 to 25 BTU per square foot (Carrier publishes 25). Each 12,000 BTU unit suits roughly 480 to 600 sq ft. Natural Resources Canada points to CSA F280-12 for a proper load calculation.
The compressor varies its speed instead of cycling on and off. Published ratings are 22.5 SEER2 for cooling and 10 HSPF2 for heating.
A chassis electrical heater keeps the outdoor base pan clear. The manufacturer rates heating down to -25°C (-13°F) and cooling up to 55°C (131°F).
Each zone gets a 16 ft insulated copper line set and 19 ft of communication wire. That is the material most quotes list separately.
The outdoor unit runs on 208-230V 60Hz. It wants its own branch circuit, sized from the MCA and maximum breaker figures on the unit's own nameplate, with a disconnect within reach.
A wall thermostat for each zone, plus a handheld remote, the phone app, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
The air handlers sit above a ceiling or inside a bulkhead and feed short duct runs to grilles. Only the supply and return grilles are visible in the room.

Three ways people usually fix uneven rooms in a Canadian home. This is how they differ in practice, not in price.
| This 3 zone system | A window or portable unit per room | Adding central ducted air | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Separate temperature per room | Yes, three independent set points | Yes, but each room needs its own machine | Usually one thermostat for the whole zone |
| Heats as well as cools | Yes, rated to -25°C (-13°F) | Many are cooling only | Depends on the furnace or air handler fitted |
| Ductwork | Short runs from each concealed air handler to its grilles | None | Full duct network to every room |
| Indoor equipment on show | Supply and return grilles only | A machine in every window | Vents and returns |
| Windows stay clear | Yes | No | Yes |
| Who installs it | Licensed HVAC and electrical trades | You do, out of the carton | Licensed trades, often several days on site |
Ships from our United States warehouse. Delivery to Canada usually takes 8 to 14 business days, with no customs charges or duties to pay on arrival. Free shipping on orders over $150, a flat $18.90 below that, and tracking by email as soon as it leaves.
Return within 14 days of purchase, unused, in original condition and packaging.
Covered directly by the manufacturer under their warranty terms for material and manufacturing defects.

All three units are 12,000 BTU, so this suits three comparable spaces of roughly 480 to 600 sq ft each: bedrooms, a home office, a finished basement room.
Tall-window living rooms, heritage interiors, offices and dining rooms all look better without a unit on the wall. The handler hides in a ceiling void and only the grilles are visible.
This is a heat pump, not a cooling-only air conditioner. It carries an HSPF2 heating rating of 10 and a chassis heater for winter operation.

Sizing runs off the heat load of the room, not just its floor area, and Natural Resources Canada points to CSA F280-12 for the real calculation. As a rough check, 20 to 25 BTU per square foot is the usual rule of thumb. Each 12,000 BTU unit suits roughly 480 to 600 sq ft. Poor insulation, big west-facing windows or a 9 ft ceiling all push that figure up.
No. On any multi-zone system the indoor ratings are not meant to be added together, and sizing guides for multi-zone equipment say so plainly. The 35,000 BTU figure is what the outdoor unit can deliver at one time, and it is shared among whichever zones are calling for it. Three rooms rarely peak at the same moment, which is why this combination is offered.
The manufacturer rates low ambient heating down to -25°C (-13°F), helped by an electric heater in the outdoor chassis. Natural Resources Canada notes that air source heat pumps lose capacity and efficiency as it gets colder, with typical COPs falling from 2.0 to 5.4 at 8°C to 1.1 to 3.7 at -8°C, and that most units have a minimum operating temperature between -15°C and -25°C. Keep a backup heat source for the coldest stretches.
Plan on a licensed installer. In Ontario, for example, the province states that by law only a certified technician may remove, discharge, handle and dispose of refrigerants, including HFCs, and that mechanical work on refrigeration equipment needs a Certificate of Qualification on top of the refrigerant certificate. Other provinces have their own halocarbon rules. The federal Code of Practice says the same thing in plainer terms: the technician doing work that could release refrigerant must hold the proper environmental certification. The 208-230V 60Hz power supply also means an electrician and a dedicated circuit.
