A flat setting that will not stay flat
The creeping back
On a notched lounger the flat position is often the least secure one, because the bracket has nothing left to sit in. Roll over and the back lifts an inch, then another, and you wake up propped up again.
Hook and loop in the flat position
This frame uses a strip of hook and loop fastener to hold the back down when it is laid flat, which is the maker's own solution to exactly that. The other five settings are held by the bracket in the usual way; the flat one has a second fixing.
