xSet of 4 Barrel Back Bar Stools in Grey with Sled Metal Frames, 28 Inch Seat
Four curved shells on bent tube sled frames, each seat 15 in square. The maker's drawing marks the seat 28 in from the floor, which is the bottom of the bar height band rather than counter height.

Four stools is four times the height mistake
Listed as counter height, measured at 28 inches
This product is titled as a counter height bar stool. Its own drawing marks the seat at 28 in, which under a standard 36 in kitchen counter leaves 8 in of knee room. With two stools that is a return; with four it is a return that fills a hallway.
Measure the top first
Twenty eight inches is the bottom of the bar height band and belongs under a top of about 38 in to 40 in. Put a tape on your counter before you order four of anything, and read the drawing rather than the title when the two disagree.
Four curved shell stools on bent tube sled frames.
Four in a row
Sled frames line up more tidily than four legged stools, because there is nothing to splay out and clash with a neighbour. At 19.5 in by 18 in each, four take roughly 7 ft of counter.
Read the seat height
Twenty eight inches to the seat, 33 in overall, a 15 in square cushion and a bar 7.5 in from the floor. The range printed alongside it is 35 in to 43 in, but only the upper half of that works with a 28 in seat.
The curve around the sides
Each shell wraps past your shoulder blades on both sides rather than stopping at your spine. On an armless stool that curve is what stops you tipping sideways when you reach along the bar.
The bar under your feet
Seven and a half inches from the floor is 20.5 in below the seat. That is a long drop, further than published footrest guidance suggests, so taller sitters will find it more natural than shorter ones.

What we stand behind
- The 15 in by 15 in seat, the 28 in seat height, the 33 in overall height, the 7.5 in footrest, the 19.5 in by 18 in base and the 330 lb capacity all come from this listing's own drawing.
- The listing's title calls this a counter height stool. Its own drawing marks a 28 in seat, which is bar height, so we describe it as a bar stool.
- The maker's printed range of 35 in to 43 in is wide. At 35 in a 28 in seat leaves 7 in of knee room, so only the upper part of that range is usable.
- This page is the set of four. The same stool is listed separately as a pair.
- Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
Frequently asked questions
Will these fit a 36 inch kitchen counter?
Not comfortably. A 28 in seat leaves 8 in of knee room there. Aim for a top of about 38 in to 40 in.
Why does the listing say counter height?
The title does not match the maker's own drawing, which marks a 28 in seat. We publish the drawing.
How many stools do I get?
Four. The same stool is listed separately as a set of two.
How do I clean the fabric?
Vacuum the weave and blot spills with a barely damp cloth. Avoid solvents, since no cleaning code is published.
