A dark stool that disappears against a dark counter.
Under a counter, not a bar
The drawing measures the seat at 24 in. That puts it under a counter of about 35 in to 37 in with 11 in to 13 in of knee room. Against a 41 in bar it would be too low to be comfortable.
The four numbers that matter
Seventeen and a half inches across the back, 17 in of padded panel, 38 in to the top and 24 in to the seat. The base is 19 in deep, which is what stops a swivel seat feeling tippy.
Against dark paint
Black timber and a black seat read as one shape rather than as a frame plus a cushion. In a dark room that keeps a run of stools from looking busy.

What we stand behind
- The 24 in seat height and the 38 in overall height come from this listing's own drawing.
- The 264 lb capacity is printed on the manufacturer's icon row on this listing. Two sibling listings in the same shape carry 290 lb; we publish the figure on this listing and the lower one.
- The seat diameter is given as 17 in in the text and 16.5 in on the drawing. The smaller figure is published.
- The record's colour field reads Black/brown, which is the range. The photographs show black throughout.
- Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
Frequently asked questions
Is the seat height right for my island?
At 24 in it suits an island of about 35 in to 37 in. That leaves 11 in to 13 in of knee room, close to the 10 in to 12 in most guides recommend.
Why do similar stools list 290 lb?
Two stools in the same shape on this store carry a 290 lb figure. This listing prints 264 lb, so that is what we publish.
Is the back padded?
Yes. The panel is 17 in tall with sponge behind a wipeable cover, curved slightly rather than flat.
How heavy is one stool?
16.5 lb, which is light enough to lift one handed when you clean the floor.
