Description
xQueen Montessori Floor Bed with Full Length Guardrails and Latching Door, Grey
A Queen sized floor bed in grey pine with rails all the way round and a door that latches. There are no slats, so the mattress sits on the floor inside an 80 by 60 inch opening, and the published limit is 8 inches of mattress.
Queen, 60 x 80 in mattress82 x 62.5 in frame12.5 in guardrails19 in latching doorNo slats included
Solid pine with plywood railings around the whole perimeter, finished smooth and low enough for a small child to climb in without help.
Eighty two by sixty two and a half
The outer frame takes that much floor for an inner opening of 80 by 60 inches, which is a Queen mattress. Guardrails stand 12.5 inches and the doorway is 19 inches wide. The published mattress limit is 8 inches thick, and that figure is the one to buy to.
Pine and plywood
A solid pine frame with plywood railings, finished so there is nothing rough for a child to run a hand along. Grey is the one colour here that reads as furniture rather than as a toy, which matters in a shared room.
Rails on every side
The railings run the full length of all four sides rather than stopping partway, so there is no open stretch a sleeping child can roll through. The doorway is the only gap, and it latches.

What we stand behind
- The 82 by 62.5 inch frame size, the 80 by 60 inch inner opening, the 12.5 inch guardrails, the 19 inch door opening and the 8 inch maximum mattress thickness are the manufacturer's published figures.
- The manufacturer states plainly that no slats are included, so the mattress sits on the floor inside the frame.
- Weight capacity and frame net weight are not published, and one 16 inch figure on the drawing is left out because what it measures is not stated.
- The mattress, bedding, rugs and toys in the photographs are not included.
