Two feet, and that is the point
Nothing here asks a cat to jump. The lower cave sits on the floor, the upper box is one short step above it and the bowl is the last step after that. Armchair height is the range most kittens and older cats will actually use.
Every box is measured
The doorways are 8 inches wide and the ceiling inside each box is 11 inches. The upper condo is 13.5 inches square, the lower one 13.5 by 16, and the whole thing stands on a base of 24 by 16 inches. The maker publishes 22 pounds for each layer.
Rope on the columns, not carpet
Both posts are wrapped in natural sisal rope rather than the plush used on the boxes. Rope holds an edge as it wears, so a cat keeps getting the resistance it wants. At about 11 inches of exposed post this is a claw grinding surface, not a full stretch post.
The strap is in the box
An anti toppling device ships with it. On a tower this short the risk is not a topple from above but a cat pushing off the perch hard enough to slide the base across a smooth floor, and the strap settles that.
