The trouble with open bedside shelves
Dust settles on everything
Open shelves beside a bed collect dust on books, cables and whatever else lands there. Hiding it all in a closed cabinet means you cannot see what is inside.
A door that lifts up
The door flips upward, so you see the contents at a glance and then close it against dust. It opens up rather than out, so nothing swings into the bed.
Three levels of storage in a footprint that suits a tight bedroom. The top holds a lamp and a phone, the flip up compartment takes the clutter, and the open shelf below is there for books. Adjustable foot pads let it sit level on an uneven floor.
Lift, look, close
The upward opening door gives you the whole compartment at once, so you are not digging blind. Close it and the mess is out of sight, with no handle sticking out to catch a knee.
A shelf and a top as well
Below the door sits an open shelf for books or a basket. The tabletop stays clear for a lamp, a glass of water and the phone you charge overnight.
Metal frame, level stance
A heavy duty metal frame carries the panels, and the foot pads adjust so the table stops rocking on an uneven bedroom floor.
