The weave runs across the full width of both boards, so the texture reads from across the room rather than only up close.
A pattern cut into the wood
The close up shows the weave is carved into the board, with each strip passing over and under its neighbour. It is not a printed grain or a fabric panel, so nothing frays and nothing peels at the corners.
