Padding you cannot take off
Sewn in comfort
A padded folding chair is wonderful in April and stifling in August, and if the padding is stitched to the frame there is nothing to be done about either. Wash it and the whole chair has to dry.
A mattress that unties
The mattress here is a separate piece 76 in by 24.5 in, held on by ropes that tighten around the frame. Untie them and the chair underneath is a plain fabric lounger for hot days. The neck pillow comes off the same way, and both go indoors for winter while the steel frame folds flat.
One folding chair with its mattress and neck pillow.
The numbers
66 in to 74.5 in long depending on the back, 27 in wide, deck 12 in off the ground, with a 76 in by 24.5 in mattress. Lounger guides ask for 30 in to 36 in of clear space around a lounger so there is room to walk past the foot end.
Four positions
A locking system holds the back at four angles and the footrest drops separately, so sit up, recline or lie flat are all in range.
The mattress
High density sponge, and the maker's own suggestion is to take it off when the weather changes.
Two extras
A pocket on the side of the frame takes a phone, a paper or a drink, and the neck pillow sits at the top of the back.
