It is out whether you want it or not
A play kitchen with a built in seating area takes a serious bite out of the floor, and in a shared room it is there every evening.
The diner side folds in
The back table and both stools fold up against the frame, and the canopy comes down with them. What is left is a kitchen against a wall rather than an island in the room.
Pink and white MDF carry a printed grey brick splashback above a cream marble counter. The front is a kitchen with a sink, a stove, a roaster and a barbecue grill. Turn it round and the back is a diner with a fold down table and two wooden stools under a striped awning.
One piece, two games
The front is where the cooking happens. The back is where the eating happens. Because both faces are used, it can stand in the middle of a room rather than against a wall.
Folded flat in seconds
The table hinges up and the stools tuck under, which the manufacturer designed to save space between uses. The canopy folds with them, so the whole back face becomes a flat panel.
Wash, cook, season, grill
The sink, the stove, the seasoning shelf and the barbecue grill each handle a step. The knob clicks as it turns, and the cutting toys split apart so the preparation is part of the game.
Sizes and load limits
The unit is 32.5 inches by 21.5 inches by 36 inches with an 18 inch counter. The manufacturer rates each folding chair at 66 pounds and the folding tabletop at 110 pounds. Suitable age is 3 to 8.

Who is this perfect for?
Three children together
One cooks at the front while two sit at the diner, which beats taking turns at a single counter.
Rooms used for other things
Fold the back in and it loses most of its footprint, so the room goes back to normal in the evening.
Older preschoolers
The manufacturer takes the age range up to eight, and the grill and seasoning steps suit a child who wants more than a stove.
