Yes. The maker's own combination panel shows it built both ways and pulled away entirely as a separate seat. It fastens with the same hardware either way, so the choice is made when you assemble it and can be changed later.
How much floor does it actually take?
Ninety-seven inches along the wall by 51 out into the room. That second figure is the one people underestimate. Mark the 51 inches out from your wall with tape before you order and then try walking past it.
Is the chaise long enough to lie on?
The chaise is 46.5 inches deep, and it joins a seat that is 25.5 inches deep, so lying across the corner gives you a good deal more than either figure alone. For one adult it is a genuine lounger rather than a footstool.
Will it fit up a staircase?
It arrives as three boxes rather than one crate, and the modules come apart again afterwards. Carton dimensions are not published, so measure the tightest corner of the route against the 31 inch depth of a single module rather than against the finished 97 inches.
