Two boxes, one with a window
The condos sit at different heights and one has a hole cut through its roof. A cat inside can see upward without leaving, and a cat on the roof can look down into it. That small opening is frequently what turns a condo from a storage space for toys into a bed.
One bed turns, one gives
The basket rotates on its mount and stays rigid under a cat. The hammock does the opposite and gives with every movement. Cats divide sharply on which they prefer, and having both means the one who hates a swinging bed is not left with the floor.
Two summits, not one
The two top perches sit at slightly different heights with thick padding under the plush. At eighty inches a single summit belongs to whichever cat is most determined, and the other one stops trying after a week. Two of them keeps the top of the tree in use by everybody.
