Description
x8 FT Hinged Artificial Spruce Christmas Tree with 1658 Mixed PE and PVC Tips, 5 FT Wide, Unlit
A five foot spread at eight feet tall is what makes this a spruce rather than a fir shape, and 1658 tips is what fills it. Two needle types alternate through the branches, the trunk splits into four sections, and the whole tree weighs 40 pounds.

The bag of loose branches
Hook-on trees are an evening of work
On an older style tree, every branch is a separate piece that has to be matched to a colour code and pushed into the right hole on the pole. With well over a thousand tips to place, that is a long sit on the floor before anything is decorated.
Branches already on the pole
The branches here stay attached and drop into place as each of the four sections is lifted out. What is left is fluffing, and the manufacturer notes the mixed PE and PVC tips arrive with a good shape already.
Eight feet up, five feet across
The panel puts the tree at 8 feet with a 5 foot spread, which is a genuinely wide shape. Allow a clear circle of about five and a half feet and check the ceiling: sizing guides pair an eight foot tree with a ten foot ceiling, or nine feet if the topper sits flat against the leader.
Two needles, alternating
The magnified circle shows both kinds sitting on the same branch. The manufacturer's word is alternate: PE tips shaped like real needles and flatter PVC tips interleaved rather than separated into layers. They state 100% new material, not faded easily, flame retardant and odourless.
What the maker compares against
Three points run down this panel. A reinforced treetop that can hold a star rather than bending under it. Two colours of tip through the foliage instead of one flat green. And a folding metal stand in place of the stamped plastic base. The stand here measures 23.5 inches and clamps the trunk with three screws.
What you get
1658 branch tips
Counted by the manufacturer, spread across a five foot base where the tree needs the most cover.
Two needle materials
Moulded PE tips alternating with flatter PVC ones, rather than one material used throughout.
Four hinged sections
One more than most trees this size, so each piece stays liftable and the packed box is smaller.
23.5 in metal base
A folding metal base clamping the trunk with three screws, wide enough to hold a five foot spread.
Reinforced treetop
Called out by the manufacturer against the weak leaders that bend under a star on cheaper trees.
Unlit
Nothing wired in, so the colour, the density and the replacement year are all your choice.

Who is this perfect for?
Big rooms that need filling
A five foot spread at eight feet is a substantial tree, and in a large room that bulk is what stops it looking lost.
People who light their own
No factory string means you choose the colour and the density, and nothing is fixed to the tree for good.
Long term buyers
PE holds its shape better than PVC alone, and a metal base outlasts the plastic one on a budget tree.
What we stand behind
- The 1658 tip count, the 8 ft by 5 ft size, the four sections and the 40 lb weight all come from the manufacturer's own specification list.
- The 23.5 inch stand width and the three trunk screws are stated in the maker's own description of the base.
- The maker's own photograph carries a note that the ornaments shown are not included.
- Ships from a Canadian warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
Frequently asked questions
How heavy is it to handle?
Forty pounds in total, split across four sections, so no single piece is a forty pound lift. That weight is the cost of 1658 tips on a five foot base, and it is also what keeps the tree planted once it is loaded with ornaments.
What is the difference between the PE and PVC tips?
PE tips are moulded so each needle has a round, tapered shape like a real one. PVC tips are cut flat and pack in for density. Buying guides describe this mix as the standard way to get a realistic outline without paying for moulded needles right through the tree.
Does it come with lights?
No. It is unlit, so the string is yours to choose and yours to replace. On a tree 5 feet wide you will want more lights than a narrower tree of the same height, so plan the length accordingly.
How much floor space does it need?
Five feet across at the lowest branches, on a 23.5 inch stand, so allow a clear circle nearer five and a half feet. At eight feet tall it suits a ten foot ceiling, or nine feet with a flat topper.
