How much knee room is there?
The seats sit 19.5 in from the ground under a 29 in tabletop, which leaves 9.5 in between them. Furniture guides call 10 in to 12 in comfortable for dining, so this set is a little snug, and taking the cushion off gains a couple of inches.
Is there an umbrella hole?
No. The glass top is one piece with no hole. One of the lifestyle photographs shows a freestanding umbrella nearby, and that is not part of the order.

Covering or storing the table is the safer choice. Glass specialists point to repeated freezing and thawing as a cause of outdoor glass tables weakening or working loose from their frames.
