This bookcase measures 24 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 48 inches tall, which is chest height on most adults. It is built from engineered wood and MDF, with a 3.2 inch raised base that lifts the bottom shelf clear of the floor and makes sweeping underneath easy.
Three open shelves and a top you can use
Each shelf opening is 22.5 inches wide, 14 inches deep and 11 inches high, so paperbacks, hardcovers and record sleeves all stand upright. The flat top takes a lamp or a pair of plants.
One drawer for the things you hide
The drawer runs on metal slides and opens by a long handle. Inside it measures 20 inches by 11 inches and 4.5 inches deep, which suits cables, chargers, remotes and the paperwork you do not want on show.
Loaded and still steady
Every shelf, and the top, is rated to 44 lbs. The drawer takes 22 lbs and the whole cabinet carries 200 lbs. Foot pads under the base keep hardwood free of scratches.
