Can the corner box go somewhere other than the corner?
Yes. It is a separate piece, so it works as an end table beside a single loveseat or as a low table in front of one. The corner is simply where it is most useful.
What holds the lid open?
A buffered hydraulic rod, the same idea as a car boot strut. It holds the lid at roughly 49 in from the ground while you load or unload.
Is the coffee table glass fixed down?
It sits on suckers, so it stays put while you use it and still lifts off for cleaning. The stated capacity for that table is 110 lb.
How do I store cushions properly over a Canadian winter?
Dry them completely first, then keep them somewhere cool and ventilated and off a concrete floor. A lidded box outside is fine for a rain shower, but a long freeze is easier on them indoors.
