It does not arrive as a finished tree
Monstera leaves are too wide to ship attached, so the box holds a trunk, stems and loose leaves. People who expect a ready made plant are disappointed for about ten minutes.
Numbered parts and a diagram
The manufacturer numbers the parts and includes instructions, so the leaves go into the right sockets in order. Once they are in, each stem has wire inside and holds the angle you bend it to.
Monstera is the leaf shape people recognise instantly, those deep splits and holes. This one stands 48 inches with ten PEVA leaves in different sizes, and the whole spread reaches about 38.5 inches across. The pot is 7 inches wide with cement inside and moss on top.
Ten leaves, deliberately uneven
The leaves come in different sizes and shades, which is what keeps a faux monstera from looking stamped out. Larger ones go low, smaller ones up top.
Wire in every stem
Each branch and stem carries wire, so you set the angle of every leaf and it stays there. That is how you avoid the flat, fanned out look.
Heavy base, light tree
Cement in the 7 inch pot holds the trunk down. The manufacturer suggests dropping the whole pot inside a larger decorative planter if you want more presence.
