A glass top that only rests in its frame slides when you lean on it and lifts a corner in a strong gust. On a 17 in table it does not take much of a knock to move the whole sheet out of true.
Suction cups under the glass

Frequently asked questions
How far back does it rock?
Not far. The maker fits adjustable stoppers that hold the chair to a short arc, which is what makes a rocker usable on a balcony. Allow the full 28.5 in of runner length plus a little clearance behind.
Is the table steady on an uneven patio?
It can be made steady. Each leg ends in a screw pad. Wind the low one out until the table stops moving, then check it again after the ground settles in spring.
Do I need to add cushions?
Not for the set to work. The seat and back are stretched sling fabric with a curve built into the back. If you prefer something softer, add your own pad. None is included and none is claimed.
Can the glass stay outside all winter?
It is tempered, so it is stronger than plain glass, but glass left under snow load and repeated freezing is the part of any patio set most likely to fail. Store the top under cover if you can, or at least keep it clear.
