The problem this solves
What usually goes wrong
A lap strap holds a child down and does nothing about the upper body. On an open buggy with no roof, that is the part that pitches forward when a wheel drops off a kerb.
How this one answers it
Both seats here carry a three point belt, two shoulder points and a lap strap, the same geometry a car uses. Add doors that open and then lock, and a child is held in place by three things rather than one.
Pink and white buggy bodywork with a pink roll cage, coil springs, lit headlights and deep treaded tyres.
Buggy proportions
An open cage over two wide seats, with coil springs on show and deep treaded tyres at the corners. The pink runs across the cage and the wheel centres as well as the body. A slow start function keeps the pull away gradual on a 24V vehicle.
Two up
Two wide seats side by side, each with a three point belt, and openable doors with locks on both sides. The cage sits high enough that neither child has to duck getting in.
Size, load and delivery
49.5 in long, 32 in wide and 31.5 in tall, with a 110 lb maximum load for children over three. It comes in two boxes, so expect some assembly. Four 100W motors and a 24V 7Ah battery sit underneath.
What a child works
A start button, a light button, a speed button, a forward, stop and back switch, an MP3 player and a horn on the steering wheel. The foot pedal does the rest.
