When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
A black high carbon steel hardtail with a Shimano seven speed twist shifter, a shock absorbing front fork and V-brakes at both wheels. The maker gives riders 48 to 60 in tall, a saddle from 27 to 33 in, bars from 34 to 36.5 in and a 220 lb capacity.
Most kids bikes at 20 and 24 inches publish a weight capacity around 110 lb. A child reaches that well before they reach the top of the frame's height range, and at that point the bike is finished even though it still fits.
This range is rated to 220 lb on both sizes. Combined with six inches of seat post and an adjustable handlebar, that is what lets the 24 inch stay usable for a teenager at 66 inches tall rather than being handed on after one growth spurt.
The two things that set this apart from an ordinary kids mountain bike are on the specification rather than in the photographs: seven gears instead of six, and a 220 lb weight capacity instead of the 110 lb most bikes this size publish. Add six inches of seat post and an adjustable handlebar and this is a frame a rider grows into rather than out of. There is no coaster brake and no training wheel mount, so it starts where a first bike finishes.

A high carbon steel hardtail in black with a shock absorbing front fork, a Shimano seven speed derailleur worked by a twist shifter, V-brakes at both wheels, a kickstand and a bell. No training wheels and no coaster brake.
The drive side view is the one that shows what this bike actually is: a rear derailleur with seven sprockets, a sprung fork, a kickstand and rim brakes at both wheels. None of it is unusual on an adult bike and all of it is unusual on a bike sized for a child.

The 20 in row gives a saddle of 27 to 33 in, a suitable rider height of 48 to 60 in and a 220 lb weight capacity. The drawing beside it puts the bike at 56 in long, 23.5 in wide, 35 to 37.5 in high. There is no age row on this listing, which is the right way round: rider height and saddle height are what decide the fit.
The saddle covers 27 to 33 in on a locking device and the bars 34 to 36.5 in. Set the saddle from the inseam first so the rider can get a foot down at a stop, then raise the bars until they are sitting up rather than reaching.

Six inches of seat post on a locking device, against a rider band of 48 to 60 in.
The bars adjust as well as the saddle, which is what stops a growing rider ending up stretched out over the front wheel.
A rear derailleur shifted by twisting the grip. Seven gears is one more than the usual six at this size, and the twist shifter is the part a child can actually use while riding.
Twice what most kids bikes publish, which is why this frame still works for a teenager.
Rim brakes at both wheels on two levers, plus a kickstand for parking. There is no coaster brake.

The maker's suitable height band for this wheel size. The saddle bottoms out at 27 inches, which is the figure to check a child's inseam against before buying.
Six inches of seat post and two and a half at the bars, on a frame rated to 220 lb. This is a bike bought to last several years rather than one season.
Both brakes are levers. A child who still stops by pedalling backwards has nothing to fall back on here, so practise the levers on flat ground first.

48 to 60 in, on a saddle that runs 27 to 33 in.
No. Dual handbrakes working V-brakes at both wheels.
Seven, a Shimano derailleur shifted by twisting the right grip.
