Build it either way up
Install the leg frame one way up and the shelf sits at one height. Turn it over and the shelf moves, which changes what fits underneath.
Room for the robot vacuum
There is 11.5 inches between the top and the shelf, and 6.5 inches between the shelf and the floor. That is enough clearance for a robot vacuum to pass underneath.
No screw heads on show
Matching stickers cover the screw holes once it is built, so the finished table reads as one clean white block on a black metal frame.
