The problem this solves
What usually goes wrong
Nothing sours an outing faster than a ride on that stops halfway round the park, and most cars give you no way to tell how much charge is left before you leave the house.
How this one answers it
A power display sits on the console beside the music controls. It is a small thing, but it turns a guess into a glance, and it means the car goes back on charge before it dies rather than after.
Bright pink bodywork with silver alloy style wheels, lit headlamps and the four ring badge on the grille.
Pink with silver wheels
A single bright pink across the whole shell, with the wheels, the mirrors and the roof rail left silver and black. The coupe roofline is what separates it from the boxier cars at this size. Silver mirrors, a roof rail and a black windscreen frame finish it off.
What the console shows
Power display, music play, song selection and volume, all on one moulded panel. The power display is the useful one: it tells you whether there is a session left in the battery before you set out.
Where the badges are
The maker shows the licence on three parts: the bonnet, the grille and the wheel centres. It states the licence itself, which is why we repeat it rather than assume it.
The measurements
38.5 in by 19 in by 17 in overall, with a seat 12.5 in across, 7.5 in deep and a 9.5 in back. Worth measuring against your child before ordering, since no age band is published.

Who is this perfect for?
Families who plan ahead
The power display makes it possible to judge whether a trip to the park is worth loading the car for.
Small spaces
At 38.5 in by 19 in it is narrower than a standard interior door frame, so storage is easier than with a 49 in truck. One adult can carry it out to a car without help.
Children who want the music
Music play, song selection and a volume control are separate buttons, so the soundtrack is adjustable rather than fixed.
What we stand behind
- Speed, motor and battery ratings, dimensions and seat size are the manufacturer's published figures.
- The manufacturer states this is an officially licensed Audi SQ8 design.
- No age range and no weight capacity is published for this model, so neither is stated.
- No run time, charge time or remote control range is published.
- A toy for supervised play on private property. Never on a road, a sidewalk or a bike path.
