The problem this solves
What usually goes wrong
A three year old who cannot find the right switch gives up and calls for help, and an adult who is called back every two minutes stops enjoying the toy as much as the child does.
How this one answers it
Seven controls, each one labelled on the maker's own diagram: horn, music, speed, power, direction, lights and the pedal. A child works out the order in a single session, and after that the truck runs without an adult standing over it.
White bodywork with a black mesh bonnet panel, twin roof spot lamps, a lit grille bar and four large black treaded tyres.
White with black trim
A white shell against black tyres, a black roll bar and a black bumper, which shows the moulded panel lines more clearly than the darker colours in this family.
Battery and speed
A 12V 4.5Ah rechargeable battery, dual 12V motors, a published 1.5 to 2.5 mph and an 8 to 12 hour charge. Plug it in after the last session of the day and it is ready the next morning.
Seven things, all named
Horn, music, speed control, power, forward and backward, light switch and the pedal switch. Seven controls is few enough for a three year old to remember and enough to keep them busy.
