Children love playing shop, but most sets give them a till and nothing else. The shopping half of the game never happens.
Both sides of the counter
This set has a sales side and a shopping side. One child mans the till while the other loads the wooden trolley and brings it to the belt.
The counter is 35.5 inches long with a printed scanning area, a conveyor belt pattern and a next customer divider. Behind it stands a display tower 44 inches tall topped with a chalkboard for the day's specials. Shelves run along the front and back, and a glass fronted cabinet sits at one end.
Two modes, two children
In sales mode a child stands behind the counter and works the till, the card machine and the money checker. In shopping mode the other fills the trolley from the shelves and wheels it round. Then they swap.
A trolley that really rolls
The cart measures 18 inches long, 13 inches wide and 21 inches tall, with a slatted basket 11.5 inches by 9 inches. It runs on four wheels and has a bar handle at pushing height for a small child.
