Play kitchens that spread across a whole wall
Long units eat the good wall
A three foot run of play kitchen has to go somewhere, and in most homes that means the wall you wanted for the sofa or the bookcase.
It folds into the corner
The L shape puts the cooking arm on one wall and the fridge arm on the other. The base is wide at the angle, which also keeps it steady on the floor.
White MDF sits under a pale wood counter, with a printed white brick splashback behind it. A microwave and a black range hood sit on the back panel above the stove. The far arm carries a tall side fridge with double doors, and a telephone hangs beside it.
The cooking routine, start to finish
Rinse the vegetables in the sink. Open the range hood above the stove. Turn the knob. Put the pots on. The manufacturer built the sequence so a child can run through it without an adult prompting each step.
Four more things to do
A washing machine with a round door, a telephone on the end panel, an induction cooker whose shelf opens, and a side fridge with two tall doors. Each one gives the game somewhere else to go.
Steel, not plastic
The manufacturer supplies a stainless steel pot with a lid, a stainless steel pan and three stainless utensils. They sit properly on the burners and survive being dropped, which plastic pans rarely do.
The corner it wants
The manufacturer gives 32.5 inches by 26 inches by 34.5 inches and a weight of 44 pounds, with the counter at 18 inches. It is marked suitable for 3 and up with ASTM and CPSIA certifications.
What is built into it
Tall side fridge
Double doors on the end arm with shelves inside for play food and drinks.
Washing machine
A porthole drum below the counter for doll clothes and tea towels.
Stove and range hood
A black hood above two burners, with knobs along the counter apron.
Induction cooker
A second cooking surface whose shelf opens, giving extra storage underneath.
Pretend telephone
A handset mounted on the side of the fridge for taking the order.
Sink with a tap
A basin set into the wood counter under a tall chrome spout.
Drawer, cabinets and hooks
One deep drawer, four enclosed cabinets, a microwave and three hanging hooks.
ASTM and CPSIA
The manufacturer states the set carries both certifications.

Who is this perfect for?
A bedroom corner
The L shape makes the angle useful instead of leaving a triangle of dead carpet behind the unit.
Children who copy chores
The washing machine and the telephone pull the game beyond cooking into the rest of the household routine.
Rough players
Steel cookware and a wide corner base stand up better to a heavy handed four year old than thin plastic does.
