Once a wide play kitchen is built it stays that size. On the days you need the floor back there is nothing you can do about it.
The fridge comes off
The refrigerator is a separate 11.5 by 10 by 27.5 inch unit. Pull it away and the kitchen takes less corner, or stand it elsewhere entirely when space is tight.
Everything here is white MDF, topped with a pale wood effect worktop and a printed white brick splashback. The short arm holds a sink under a tall chrome tap. The long arm carries a gas style stove, an oven with a window and a microwave above, with the fridge standing at the end.
Eight stations round the corner
Microwave, range hood, gas stove, tap and sink, oven, water dispenser and fridge. The L puts the wet jobs on one arm and the hot ones on the other, which is how a real kitchen is laid out.
Knobs that click, water that pours
The stove knobs turn between on and off with a click. The dispenser shows hot and cold indicators and makes a sound as the cup fills. Five stainless pieces come with it: a saucepan with a lid, a skillet, a spaghetti server, a spatula and a soup spoon.
Storage behind every door
Cupboards run along both arms with shelves inside. The sink lifts out for emptying, and three hooks under the splashback take the utensils so the counter stays clear.
