Useless for company
A double daybed is wonderful on a Sunday afternoon and awkward the moment two people come round, because there is no way to face anyone and nowhere to put your feet on the floor.
Two sections, not one frame
The front platform slides away from the back section. What is left is a sofa with arms and a back, and an ottoman in front of it that is 58.5 in long and 23.5 in deep. Push it back and it is a bed again by bedtime.
