Two feet tall on a square base four inches a side. That is small enough to live on a dining table, a windowsill or a bathroom shelf, which is a different job from anything floor standing in this category.
No cord at all
Three AA cells sit in the base of each tree, with an on and off switch on the side. Nothing trails off the table, which is the only practical way to light something on a sill or a shelf that has no outlet behind it. Batteries are not included.
Bendable, with real bark marks
Every branch bends and holds, so the shape is yours rather than the one that came out of the box. The trunk is white with the black dashes of a real birch, which at this size is the detail that keeps it from looking like a craft store prop.
Day and night
Unlit it is a small white sculpture that suits a shelf all winter. Lit, 24 bulbs is enough to read clearly across a dark room without being bright. The manufacturer's day and night pair is the most honest look at both.

Anywhere there is no outlet and no room for a cord. A pair either end of a mantel or a dining table does what a single small tree cannot, which is frame something.

Frequently asked questions
Are batteries included?
No. Each tree takes three AA cells in its base, and they are not supplied. The switch is on the side of the base, so there is nothing to reach behind.
How bright are 24 bulbs?
Enough to read as a lit tree across a dark room, not enough to light one. At this size that is the right amount: more would look like a lamp rather than a decoration.
Do the branches bend?
Yes, each one individually, and they hold the angle. Spreading them out is the first thing to do after unboxing and it changes the tree completely.
Can I hang ornaments on them?
Small and light ones. The manufacturer says the branches support extra ornaments, but these are 24 inch twig trees, so think earrings rather than baubles.
Is there a timer?
None is published for this model, so none is claimed. The switch on the base is the whole control system.
Can they go outside?
The manufacturer lists them as indoor decorations and publishes no weather rating, so we would not put them out.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
