Description
xSet of 2 Counter Height Chairs with Ladder Backs and Grey Padded Seats, 26 Inch Seat
Four horizontal rails make the back, painted the same off white as the frame, above a grey fabric pad. The drawing puts the seat 26 in from the floor and the chair 39 in overall, with one footrest rail at 7 in and a 17 in by 20.5 in footprint.

Painted timber ladder backs with a grey seat pad.
Where a 26 inch seat lands
Twenty six inches is the tall end of counter height. Under a 36 in counter that leaves 10 in of knee room, enough to sit at comfortably, and under a 38 in counter it is closer to 12 in. Above 39 in the chair is too low.
What the drawing says
The drawing gives a 26 in seat, a 39 in overall height, a 17 in by 16 in pad and a 330 lb badge. The written specification on the same listing says 25.5 in and 353 lb, so both are set out below and the more cautious figure is the one we publish.
Why the rails are spaced
The rails are set apart rather than boarded over, so nothing presses flat against your spine and air moves behind you. The maker also leans the back slightly instead of standing it square, which is what stops you sliding forward on a chair with no arms.
The pad itself
Grey linen over high density sponge. The written specification calls the cushion 2 in deep, which is a working pad rather than a deep cushion, and the linen weave keeps it from feeling clammy in a warm kitchen.

What we stand behind
- This listing contradicts itself. The drawing gives a 26 in seat height and a 330 lb capacity; the written specification gives 25.5 in and 353 lb. We publish 26 in and 330 lb, the more cautious pair, and print both so you can see the difference.
- The two also disagree on depth: the written specification says 18 in and the drawing says 20.5 in. The larger figure is the one to plan your floor space around.
- The record's colour field reads Brown/Beige and the title reads Beige. Every photograph shows an off white painted frame with a grey fabric seat, which is what is described here.
- The written specification gives a 30.5 lb net weight without saying whether that is one chair or the pair, so it is not quoted as either.
- Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
Frequently asked questions
Which seat height is right, 26 or 25.5 inches?
The drawing says 26 in and the written specification says 25.5 in. Plan for 26 in, since that is the figure that leaves less knee room, and either works under a 36 in to 38 in counter.
Which weight capacity should I trust?
We publish 330 lb, the lower of the two figures on the listing. The written specification claims 353 lb.
Is it beige or grey?
The record calls it beige. The photographs show an off white painted frame with a grey fabric seat, which is what you will receive based on the images the maker supplies.
How many chairs come in the box?
Two. The listing's own parts list gives two chairs and a user guide.
