A planter that stands over it
The base is a 22 inch octagon with no floor. Set it over the thing you would rather not look at and plant the ring around it.
Everything is fir that has been carbonized, a high temperature treatment that darkens the wood right through the surface. Metal bands wrap the base, the roof is laid in overlapping shingles, and a rope drops a small bucket from the crossbar.
Two planters in one frame
The wide base takes bedding plants, trailing annuals or herbs. The hanging bucket is sized for something small and showy that sits at eye level.
