The cover that is not supplied
Grey by the second summer
Acacia arrives honey coloured and silvers if it is left to itself. The maker's own note on this chaise asks for rain exposure to be avoided and recommends a protective cover, which is not included.
Oil, and a cover
Exterior hardwood oil once in spring and again at the end of summer keeps the colour, and a breathable furniture cover sized to the piece keeps the worst of the weather off. Neither is in the box, which is worth budgeting for at the start rather than discovering in year two.
One chaise lounge with its cushion.
The numbers
79 in long and 28 in wide, with a 52 in seat and the back between 15 in and 34 in. Lounger guides ask for 30 in to 36 in of clear space around a lounger so there is room to walk past the foot end.
Four levels
Sit up, recline or lie flat, on a bracket behind the back. Four settings rather than six, on a frame that is wood rather than metal.
The cushion
Full length rather than a seat pad, with elastic filling, zips on the cover and ties holding it to the frame.
Wood and weave
Acacia takes the load, PE rattan takes the sitting, and the maker asks for a cover that is not supplied.

What we stand behind
- Sizes, the four back levels and the 800 lb rating are read off the maker's dimension panel and specification text.
- Anti fading and built to last are the maker's descriptions of the PE rattan.
- The maker asks that rain exposure be avoided and recommends a protective cover, which is not included in this order.
- A folding side table appears in the maker's dimension panel and in several photographs on this listing. The item code lists one part and does not itemise a table, so no table is counted in this description.
