What usually goes wrong
The usual way to build a seven foot cat tree is to stack wide platforms on posts, and the base has to grow with the height. In a flat, that is a piece of furniture the size of a sofa arm standing in the corner.
How this one answers it
This one puts the cat inside the column rather than on shelves beside it. The condos are cut into an 18 inch trunk and the platforms are small leaves, so the whole tower covers about ten square feet.
A bark textured column in warm brown with green leaf platforms, toadstools around the foot and a ladybird swinging from a string.
Ninety and a half inches
The trunk is 18 inches wide, the leaf platforms run about 8.5 inches, the condo openings are around 13 and the base disc measures 38.5 across. Seven and a half feet of cat furniture occupying roughly ten square feet, which is less floor than a small armchair takes up in the same room.
Condos inside the trunk
The private spaces are cut into the trunk rather than bolted onto the outside, so a cat disappears into the column instead of sitting in a box hanging off the side. That is what keeps a tower this tall narrow, and it is why the platforms can be small leaves rather than full shelves.
A panel, not a post
One face of the trunk is a flat sisal panel running most of its height, with a ladybird on a string hanging beside it. A tall flat surface suits the cat that leans into a scratch with its shoulders rather than hugging a column, and there is enough of it here for two cats at different heights.
The pads come out
Each condo and each leaf carries a cushioned pad that detaches. On a tower this size that is not a nicety. Nobody is carrying a ninety inch trunk outside to beat the dust out of it, so the parts that collect fur have to be the parts that come away in your hands.

Who is this perfect for?
Cats that want to disappear
Three doorways into a hollow trunk is a different proposition from a plush box on a shelf. A cat inside this one is out of sight of the room entirely.
High ceilinged rooms
At seven and a half feet this needs headroom. Measure floor to ceiling before ordering and leave space above the top perch for a cat to sit upright.
Rooms with a theme
Bark texture, green leaves and toadstools around the foot. It is unmistakably a decorative object and it will not disappear into a neutral room.
