The switch here is a foot pedal that sits out where you can see it. Press it with a foot on the way past, no bending and no feeling around. Three lighting modes cycle from the same pedal: steady on, twinkle and breathing.

The connector, close up

The magnified socket at the top is the useful detail. Each section plugs into the next through a connector that mates at any angle, so the section does not have to be rotated to find the pins. On a nine foot tree assembled by one person that removes the most annoying part of the job. The hinged branches spread on their own as each part goes up.

What the flocking looks like lit

What is a quick power connector?

A socket that joins the wiring between tree sections and mates at any angle, rather than needing the section turned until the pins line up. The manufacturer calls it 360 degree insertion. On a tall tree it is the difference between a two minute job and ten minutes of rotating a heavy section over your head.

Does the tree skirt really come with it?

Yes. The manufacturer's dimension panel lists a cotton tree skirt as included, shown alongside the adapter. That is unusual: almost every other tree in this range expects you to buy one.

What ceiling height do I need?

Ten feet at a minimum, eleven is comfortable. Sizing guides suggest about a foot above the tip for a topper, and the stand lifts the tree a few inches. Under a standard eight or nine foot ceiling it will not stand.
