Is 700 lights a lot for a nine foot tree?
It is a high count. Many pre-lit trees at this height carry between 400 and 500. The practical difference is where the light sits: with 700 bulbs on a 5.2 foot wide tree the glow carries into the middle rather than stopping at the outer branches.
What ceiling height do I need?
Ten feet at a minimum, eleven is comfortable. Sizing guides suggest about a foot between the tip and the ceiling for a topper, and the stand lifts the tree a few inches further. In a standard eight or nine foot room this tree will not stand up.
What does auto close up mean?
The hinged branches fold back against the trunk when a section is lowered, rather than having to be pushed in by hand one at a time. On a tree with 2028 tips that saves a genuinely tedious hour at the end of the season.
What happens if a bulb fails?
Lighting trade guidance is that an LED which fails but stays intact leaves the rest of the run lit, while a lens cracked right through can take out a whole section. These lights are fitted at the factory, so treat them as part of the tree rather than a string to swap out.
