We can ship to anywhere in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Three modes share one circular touch dial on the top: cooling from 60.8 to 89.6 F, dehumidifying at 40 pints a day and a plain fan on two speeds. Rated 8,000 BTU ASHRAE and 5,300 BTU SACC for a room of about 230 sq ft.
Small rooms rarely need a big machine. They need one that does not dominate the floor and does not have to be relearned every summer.

Cooling holds a set temperature between 60.8 and 89.6 F. Dehumidifying pulls up to 40 pints a day without chasing that number, which is the right choice on a clammy but mild day. Fan just moves air with the compressor off.
Everything lives on the round panel on the lid: timer, fan speed, child lock, mode and the two temperature arrows. The display shows the room temperature or the hours left on the timer. The remote works from 16.5 ft.

Double hung and single hung windows work, and so do sliding sash windows, up to a height or width of 47 inches. The exhaust hose reaches 5 ft, which sets how far from the window the unit can stand.
Cool, dehumidify and fan, plus a sleep setting, without menus to scroll through.
The rated daily figure. A 25.5 inch drain hose is supplied for the days it collects steadily.
Locks the touch panel so a set point cannot be changed by a curious hand.
90 degrees up and down, 60 degrees left and right, set by hand to aim the air.
Slides out from the back for a rinse. Keeping it clean is what keeps air flow where it should be.
A standard Canadian household outlet on a 6 ft cord. No special circuit.

230 sq ft of rated coverage, on a cabinet that takes about one square foot of floor.
One round panel with seven labelled keys, repeated on a remote that reaches 16.5 ft.
The kit suits double hung, single hung and sliding sash windows up to 47 inches.

They come from two different tests of the same machine. ASHRAE 8,000 BTU is measured in fixed laboratory conditions. SACC 5,300 BTU is the newer seasonally adjusted rating, which Danby notes is generally lower because it accounts for the temperature and humidity of a real cooling season. Size your room from the SACC figure.
It depends on the humidity in the room, not on the machine. Dry indoor air produces almost nothing. Humid weather produces steadily, and the supplied 25.5 inch hose lets it run away rather than collecting in the unit.
No. The kit covers hung and sliding windows up to 47 inches. Casement and crank out windows need a panel made to the opening, because a sliding kit cannot seal against that frame.
The manufacturer rates it at 55 dB or under. That is below normal conversation. Running the fan on low and using sleep mode both bring it down further.
