Most trees are three jobs, not one: build the tree, wind on a light string that may or may not still work, then clip on enough berries and picks to stop it looking bare. That is an evening, and the light string is the part that goes wrong.

This one arrives pre-lit and pre-decorated. The 350 LEDs are wired in behind globe bulb covers and the 41 berry clusters are already fixed through the branches, so the three sections stack, the hinged branches drop and lock themselves into place, and the tree is finished as soon as it is spread.

Seven feet, 4.3 feet across

Seven feet of tree on a 4.3 foot spread and a 20 inch stand. Under a standard eight foot ceiling that leaves room for a topper without crushing it. The UL certified adapter carries an 8.2 ft cord, which decides how far the tree can sit from an outlet, and two pairs of gloves are in the box for shaping the tips.

855 tips, 41 berry clusters, 350 lights

All three counts are published and all three are already on the tree when it arrives. The globe bulb covers are the detail worth noticing: they turn each LED into a diffused ball rather than a bright point, which suits a pale tree where a hard white dot would glare.

White and lake blue, flocked in white

Two foliage colours are mixed through the tree, white PVC leaves with lake blue among them, and the snow flocked white PE twigs sit over the top. That layering is what keeps a white tree from looking like a single flat sheet of colour when it is lit from inside.

The base and the materials

A crossed metal base with anti-slip foot pads carries it, and the base folds with its screw already fitted so there is no hole to line up underneath a seven foot tree. The PVC and PE foliage is described by the maker as flame-retardant, fade-resistant and long-lasting.

On a 20 inch stand, the larger of two sizes in this range.

White and lake blue PVC leaves with snow flocked white PE twigs through them.

Under globe bulb covers that diffuse each bulb into a soft ball of light.

Frosted red berries fixed through the branches, not clipped on afterwards.

Stacking sections with hinged branches that lock automatically into position.

Foldable, with a pre-assembled screw and anti-slip pads to protect the floor.

On a UL certified adapter, which sets how far from an outlet it can stand.

Two pairs, for spreading 855 tips without scratched hands.

A white flocked tree disappears against a white wall and comes alive against wood, grey or deep colour. Think about the wall behind it before the ornaments that go on it.

Lights and berries are already on. A handful of ornaments finishes it, and doing nothing at all still gives a complete looking tree, which is why this shape turns up in rented rooms and offices.

Three sections, hinged branches that lock themselves, and a base whose screw is already fitted mean one person can do the whole thing without holding a section upright with one hand and searching for a bolt with the other.

What we stand behind

• The baubles, wreath and gift boxes in the styled photographs are not included. The manufacturer marks this on its own images. The berries and lights are part of the tree.
• Tip count, berry cluster count, LED count, dimensions and cord length are read from the manufacturer's published specification and its own feature panels for this size.
• Flocked finishes shed during shaping and through the season. This is normal for the finish and is not a fault.
• Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.

Is it white or is it green underneath?

It is pale all the way through. The PVC leaves are white with lake blue mixed in, and the snow flocking sits on white PE twigs, so there is no green showing when the branches are spread.

Will the flocking come off?

Some will, mostly while you are spreading the branches for the first time. Put a sheet down for the first setup and vacuum once afterwards. It settles down sharply after the first season.

Are the berries removable?

They are fitted through the branches rather than clipped on, so treat them as part of the tree. Forty-one clusters on this size, thirty-three on the 6 ft version.

What are the globe bulb covers for?

They sit over each LED and spread the light into a soft ball instead of a sharp point. On a pale tree that matters more than it would on a dark green one, where a bare bulb tends to glare.

What ceiling height do I need?

Seven feet of tree plus the stand and a topper, so a standard eight foot ceiling works with a modest topper and nine feet is comfortable. The 6 ft version in this range is the answer for a lower room.

How is it assembled?

Three sections stack onto the base. The branches are on flexible hinges that lock automatically into position as each section opens, and the foldable base arrives with its screw already fitted. Spreading the 855 tips is the part that takes the time.

Can I replace a bulb?

The string is factory-wired into the branches and no spare bulb or fuse specification is published, so we cannot promise individual bulb replacement. LED strings of this type are normally wired so one failed bulb does not darken the rest.
