A flat colour reads as plastic
A tree sprayed one shade of pink from top to bottom announces itself as an ornament rather than a tree. There is no variation in it, so the eye sees paint rather than snow.
A gradient, lit from inside
Here the colour runs from white at the crown into pink at the bottom, so it changes as the eye travels down, and 350 warm white bulbs sit inside the flocking rather than on top of it. The light comes through the colour instead of sitting on it.
The unlit version of this tree is sold separately. This one has the string already in it, plus a controller with eight modes, which changes how the colour behaves after dark.
Seven feet, four and a bit across
7 FT of height, 4.2 FT of spread, 20 inch stand. That is a full profile tree, so allow a floor circle of four and a half feet and a ceiling of eight and a half or more once a topper is on. A pair of gloves is included.
Where the colour changes
The circles show the gradient at close range: white flocking heavy at the top, pink coming through as the branches get longer. 1264 tips is a solid count for seven feet and dense enough that the gradient reads as a shift rather than a stripe.
What warm white does to pink
Lit at night the bulbs warm the pink up rather than washing it out, which is why warm white is the right choice on a coloured tree. The light also picks out where the flocking sits heaviest, so the gradient is more obvious after dark than during the day.
Hinged, and it folds away
The branches stay hinged to each pole so a section opens as you raise it. The metal stand folds and the sections come apart, which matters on a tree with a 4.2 ft spread: it goes into a cupboard rather than staying up all year.

Is this the same tree as the unlit gradient version?
Same shape and the same 1264 tips at this height, but this one has 350 warm white LEDs and an eight mode controller fitted. The unlit version is sold separately for people who prefer to choose their own string.
How does the gradient actually run?
White and heavily flocked at the crown, with pink deepening as the branches get longer towards the bottom. It is a continuous fade rather than banded sections.
What ceiling height do I need?
Eight and a half feet or more is comfortable. Guides advise about twelve inches of clear air above the tip, and a topper adds to that.
Will the flocking shed?
Some will, mostly during setup and decorating. Open it out over a sheet, handle the inner branches rather than the tips, and keep water and cleaning sprays off it. Store it cool, dry and out of sunlight.
