Is 2514 tips unusually dense?

It is at the top end. Balsam Hill's buying guide puts a lush, natural looking 7.5 foot tree at roughly 1,500 to 2,500 tips, and this one sits just above that. Expect a solid outline with no pole showing, and expect fluffing to take longer than on a thinner tree.

Why four sections instead of three?

Because the tree is taller and denser than the smaller sizes in the same family. Splitting it into four keeps each piece short enough to lift comfortably, and the sections stack in a smaller footprint when it goes back in the cupboard.

Does it come with lights?

No. It is unlit, so you pick the colour, the spacing and how much of it you use, and a failed string in year five does not mean replacing the tree.

What ceiling height does it need?

Sizing guides suggest about a foot between the tip and the ceiling for a topper, which points to a nine foot ceiling for a 7.5 foot tree. Under an eight foot ceiling it will stand, but the topper will sit close to the plaster.
