A softer material, and a colour gradient
TPE has a soft, giving texture rather than a hard edge, and this tree's leaves carry a gradient of colour along their length instead of one flat green. Between them, the tree survives both being touched and being looked at closely.
Two things make this tree unusual: the foliage material and the deliberately sparse branch structure. Both are worth understanding, because they change what the tree is for.
Sparse on purpose
The manufacturer is explicit that the foliage is deliberately sparse, copying how a real fir grows. That leaves room to hang ornaments into the tree rather than on its surface. It also means this is not the tree to buy if you want a solid wall of green.
Six and a half feet, three and a half across
6.5 ft of height against a 3.6 ft spread on an 18 inch stand, with an 8.5 ft cord. Guides advise about a foot of clear air above the tip, so a ceiling of around eight feet is the sensible minimum once a topper is on.

What is TPE?
A thermoplastic elastomer, which is a softer and more rubbery material than the PVC or PE most artificial trees use. The manufacturer describes the texture as ultra soft. It is the reason this tree feels different in the hand.
Is sparse a polite word for thin?
It is a deliberate choice here, and the manufacturer says so: the foliage emulates the sparse growth of a real fir and leaves room to hang ornaments. If you want a dense wall of green, choose a higher tip count tree instead.
Are the lights warm white?
No, they are multicoloured: 390 of them, with eight modes on a controller. This tree does not have a warm white channel.
How is it different from the 7.5 ft version?
The series gives 578 and 725 branch tips with 390 and 500 lights for the 6.5 and 7.5 ft sizes. This listing is the 6.5 ft.
