Description
x5 Tier Vertical Garden Planter, Green
Five troughs on an A frame, each one stepped forward of the one above, so a square metre of patio grows five rows of plants.
5 planter boxes48.5 inches tallCascading drainage
Floor space is the thing a balcony has least of
One pot, one crop
Lay planters flat on a balcony and you run out of floor long before you run out of things you wanted to grow.
Grow upward instead
Five staggered troughs stack into a frame covering 22.5 by 29 inches. Each one steps forward of the last, so the row below still gets light.
The frame is powder coated iron in a triangular A shape with plastic foot pads. Each of the five boxes is moulded PP and holds about half a cubic foot of soil, rated by the manufacturer to 22 lbs with 8 inches of clearance above it.
The frame, measured
It stands 48.5 inches tall on a base of 22.5 by 29 inches. Each trough is 19.5 by 7.5 inches with 6.5 inches of depth.
Water falls from tier to tier
A line of small holes runs along the bottom of each box, so water from the top trough reaches the next one down instead of pooling.
What holds it up
The triangular leg structure keeps the weight low, and plastic pads under the feet stop the frame marking a deck or a balcony floor.
What you get
Five separate troughs
Each one 19.5 by 7.5 inches, holding about half a cubic foot of soil.
Cascading drainage
Holes in each box pass excess water down to the tray and box below.
22 lbs per layer
The manufacturer rates each tier at 22 lbs loaded.
8 inches between tiers
Enough clearance above each trough for salad, herbs and strawberries.
Powder coated iron
Rust resistant tube frame in a triangular structure for stability.
Foot pads fitted
Plastic pads under the legs protect a deck or a balcony floor from scratches.
