Black does the quiet work here. Against a pale wall the frame reads as a line rather than a block, so the shelf disappears and what sits on it does not. Underneath it is the same build as the white version: five shelves, a raised lip at the back of each, and 13 inches of floor used.
Beside a desk
Put it next to a work surface and the top two shelves land at eye height while you sit. Books and files go low, where the shelves are deepest. It needs no wall fixing to stand.
Joints you can see
Each shelf bolts through the side rails rather than resting on pegs. The photos show the fixing points, the raised back board and the angled foot that meets the floor.

Does it need to be screwed to the wall?
No. It leans against the wall and forms a triangle with the floor to stay put.
How heavy is it to carry?
The manufacturer lists the net weight at 27 lbs.
Will a hardback fit on the top shelf?
The top shelf is 6 inches deep, so large hardbacks suit the lower shelves at 11 and 13 inches.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
