Wooden garden furniture usually outlives its fixings. Ordinary screws weep rust down the grain after one wet season, the joints work loose, and the frame starts to rack long before the wood itself is finished.

The manufacturer lists the hardware on this set as rust resistant and shows it in their own detail panel. The frame is 100 percent acacia, a dense hardwood with natural oils, with rope woven into the side panels.

Two cover sets, one set of furniture

The same four pieces with each set of covers fitted: turquoise above, cream below. One 52 in loveseat, two armchairs and a 40 in slatted acacia coffee table, with rope filling the arms and sides.

Out on paving

Loveseat with an armchair either side, the slatted table in the middle. The low 12 in seat and 16 in table are matched to each other, so a drink goes down without anyone reaching up from the seat.

Where it goes and how big it is

Settings across the top, measurements underneath. Loveseat 52 in wide with a 48 in seat, armchairs 28 in wide with 24 in seats, coffee table 40 in by 24 in by 16 in. Backrests stand 25 in above a seat that is 12 in from the ground.

The details that last

Tightly wound rope in the side panels, solid acacia in the frame, and fixings the maker describes as rust resistant. On a wooden outdoor set the hardware usually gives up before the timber does, so this is worth more than it looks.

The maker describes the frame as 100 percent acacia, a dense tropical hardwood with natural oils in it. No metal tube under plastic weave.

Tightly wound cord fills the arms and sides in close rows, which is what gives the set its look and keeps the weight down.

Two full sets of cushion covers ship with the set, so one can be in the wash while the other is on the furniture.

Forty inches by 24 in of slatted acacia. Rain runs through the gaps instead of standing on the top.

Seats sit 12 in from the ground with a 25 in back. That is lounge height, deliberately below the 16 in table.

The hardware is described as rust resistant, which matters more than it sounds on wood that swells and shrinks through a season.

Solid acacia with rope panels looks like designed furniture rather than the same wicker set every neighbour already owns.

Two full sets of cushion covers means two looks from one set, and one always clean while the other is washed.

A 52 in loveseat, two armchairs and a 40 in by 24 in slatted table you can put a meal on rather than just two mugs.

What we stand behind

• Every dimension comes from the manufacturer's own measured drawing.
• The frame is described by the maker as 100 percent acacia wood, and the fixings as rust resistant.
• Two full sets of cushion covers ship with this set. Both are shown fitted in the product photography.
• No weight capacity is published for this range, so none is claimed.
• Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.

What does the second set of covers give me?

A whole second look, and a spare. The photography shows the set with cream covers and with turquoise, and both sets ship together. In practice it means one set can be washed properly while the furniture stays usable.

Is acacia all right outdoors in Canada?

It is a dense hardwood with natural oils, but it does better with some protection. Care guidance is consistent: acacia can check or crack if it swings between damp cold and hot sun, so a breathable cover or a spell under shelter through winter is the sensible routine.

What is the rope made of?

The record describes it only as tightly woven string or rope in the arms and side panels, without naming the fibre. We will not guess at a material that is not published. What is visible in the photographs is close wound cord in tight parallel rows.

Can it go indoors?

Nothing about it stops you. A wood frame with rope panels reads as indoor furniture, which is worth knowing if you have a sunroom or a covered porch. Indoors it also avoids the weathering question altogether.
