Loose sections walk apart
Sit down on one end of a two piece outdoor sectional and it slides. A week later there is a hand width gap at the corner, the cushions have dropped into it, and you are shoving the pieces back together every time you use it.
These fasten
The loveseat and the chaise on this set are joined by hook and loop fasteners, shown in the maker's own detail photograph. The corner stays closed while you use it, and when you want two separate seats you peel them apart.

What holds it together
