Storage under the table itself
Four bins slide out from under the 27 inch top. Pencils, bricks and snacks each get a bin, and a child can reach all four from their chair.
Blow moulded HDPE in pink with a soft cream top, rounded on every corner and rated by the manufacturer to 176 lb for both the table and each chair. The whole set weighs 12.5 lb, which is light enough for two children to carry between rooms. It is designed for ages 2 to 6.
Reach everything from the chair
Bins pull out from all four sides of the table, so whoever is sitting down can get at their own supplies. They lift right out for washing when the playdough gets into the corners.
The heights that decide it
The top sits 20 inches off the floor and the seats 10 inches. That 10 inch gap is what lets a two year old rest their forearms on the table instead of reaching up to it.
Two children, one surface
27 inches square gives each child a side of their own, with the corners free for a cup of pencils. The chairs have a cut out handle in the back so a child can move their own seat.
