The problem this solves
What usually goes wrong
Battery size is what decides whether a tractor lasts an afternoon, and most listings at this size fit a 7Ah pack and say nothing about how long it runs for.
How this one answers it
This one carries a 24V 9Ah battery, which is more capacity than anything else in our tractor range. The maker does not publish a run time, so we cannot state one, but the pack itself is a good deal bigger than the usual fitment.
Dark green tractor bodywork with black wheels, a chrome look exhaust stack, lit headlights and a matching detachable trailer.
Tractor and trailer
A dark green farm tractor with a chimney exhaust behind the bonnet and a slatted trailer hooked on behind. Six wheels in total, four under the tractor and two under the trailer.
What drives it
Dual 50W motors and a 24V 9Ah rechargeable battery at a published 2 to 3.7 mph. Nine amp hours is a larger pack than most kids tractors carry, and the maker also claims a 15 degree slope ability. Two control modes sit behind that: manual mode, where the child steers and works a foot pedal, or the parent remote with three speed levels and an emergency brake. A soft start curve is charted by the maker against an ordinary start, so the tractor eases away rather than jumping.
Size and age
60 in long with the trailer, 26 in wide and 23 in tall, for a stated 3 to 8 year band. CPSC CPSIA and ASTM badges sit on the same panel.
The trailer
A slatted bed with a drop down panel at the back, sized for leaves, toys or garden finds. It unclips from the hitch, which brings the tractor down to a storable length. LED headlights light up at the front, and the console carries speed control, forward and backward, music, volume control, a USB port, a power button, wireless technology and a radio.
