Description
x24 Inch Kids Mountain Bike with Shimano 6 Speed and Suspension Fork, Blue
A light blue hardtail with a front suspension fork, a Shimano six speed twist shifter and V-brakes at both wheels. The maker gives riders 56 to 66 in tall, a saddle from 30 to 34.5 in, a bike weight of 31.5 lb and a 110 lb capacity.

The larger of the two sizes, and the point where a kids bike stops being a kids bike. There are gears, a sprung fork, rim brakes at both ends and no coaster brake at all. The maker rates both sizes at 8 years and over, which is the least useful number on the page: what decides the fit is the rider height band and the saddle floor, and those are what this page leads with.
The bike
A light blue hardtail frame with a front suspension fork, a Shimano six speed drivetrain worked by a twist shifter, V-brakes at both wheels and large knobbly pneumatic tires. There are no training wheels and no coaster brake.
The bike's own measurements
The panel gives this size as 64 inches long, 22.5 inches across the bars and 40 inches tall. The maker adds a line under it saying the figures are measured by hand and may contain errors, which is unusually honest and worth taking at face value when you are planning where the bike will live.
The maker's sizing advice, and their table
Two instructions first: consider rider height more than age, and measure the child's inseam against the saddle height. Then the table: the 20 inch takes riders 48 to 60 inches tall on a saddle of 29 to 33.5 inches and weighs 29 lb, and the 24 inch takes riders 56 to 66 inches on a saddle of 30 to 34.5 inches and weighs 31.5 lb. Both are rated to 110 lb and both are listed as 8 years and over.
Six gears on a twist
A Shimano six speed drivetrain shifted by twisting the right grip rather than pushing a lever. That matters on a kids bike: a twist shifter can be worked without moving a hand off the bar, which is the only way a child is going to change gear while actually riding. The maker positions it for climbing rather than for speed.
What is on this bike
Saddle 30 to 34.5 in
Four and a half inches of seat post, against a rider band of 56 to 66 in.
Shimano 6 speed
A twist shifter at the right grip rather than a lever, which is easier for a child to reach and to understand.
Front suspension
A sprung fork, which is what makes gravel and broken pavement bearable at this size.
V-brakes at both wheels
Rim brakes front and rear with levers the maker sized for a shorter reach. There is no coaster brake.
Bike weighs 31.5 lb
A published figure, and a real consideration when a child has to lift it onto a rack.

Who is this perfect for?
Riders 56 to 66 in tall
The maker's band for this wheel size. Their own note says to weigh rider height more heavily than age and to measure the inseam against the saddle height, which bottoms out at 30 inches.
Gravel paths and park trails
A suspension fork, six gears and knobbly tires suit a rail trail or a fire road. The maker states plainly that this is not built for off-road or competitive riding, and we repeat that rather than dress it up.
Riders past the coaster brake
Both brakes are levers. A rider who still stops by pedalling backwards is not ready for this bike, however well it fits.
What we stand behind
- The saddle height, rider height, suitable age, bike weight, overall size and 110 lb weight capacity here are the manufacturer's own published figures for the 24 in.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- The manufacturer states this bike is not intended for off-road or competitive biking activities. We repeat that rather than imply otherwise.
- The manufacturer notes their measurements are taken by hand and may contain errors.
- There is no coaster brake on this bike. Both brakes are levers.
- No safety certification mark appears on this listing, so we claim none.
- Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
