The nicest places for a small tree have no socket
A mantel, a windowsill, a bathroom shelf, the middle of a dining table. The places a little lit tree looks best are exactly the places with no outlet, and a cord trailing across the room ruins the effect.
A switch on the base, batteries inside
The LEDs run from a 3 AA battery box built into the stump base, with the on and off switch on the side. There is no cord and nothing to hide, so it can sit in the middle of a table or on a shelf with no plug anywhere near it.
Bark, not needles
There are no needles on this one. It is a bare white trunk with fine branches, printed with the black flecks that birch bark has, on a square base carved to look like a cut stump. Unlit it reads as a winter twig arrangement rather than a Christmas tree.
24 lights, spread thin on purpose
The bulbs sit at the ends of the branches with plenty of dark twig between them, which is what makes a twig tree look like frost rather than a lit shrub. Warm white keeps it soft next to wood and brass.
Bend it into the shape you want
Every branch is on a wire core, so you can open the tree out for a wide shelf or draw it in narrow for a windowsill. Bend a few tips upward and it takes ornaments: small glass drops or paper stars, nothing heavy.

Frequently asked questions
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. It runs on 3 AA batteries in a box built into the base, switched on and off from the side. That is what makes it usable on a table centre or a windowsill with no outlet nearby.
Can I hang ornaments on it?
Light ones. The branches are wire cored and bend upward to hold a hook, which suits small glass drops, paper stars or a few ribbons. It is not built for a heavy ornament collection.
How many lights are there and what colour?
24 LEDs in warm white, pre-strung along the branches. The spacing is wide, which is the look a twig tree is going for.
Is it only for Christmas?
It does not have to be. Bare white birch branches with a few lights suit the whole winter, and the bendable branches mean it can be reshaped rather than re-bought.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
