The bike
A green metal frame with a front basket, a padded saddle on a long seat bar, mudguards over both wheels and two detachable training wheels.
The maker's size table
The 16 inch row reads: riders 41.3 to 51.2 inches tall, an inseam of 20 to 24 inches, a saddle of 21 to 25.5 inches and 110 lb at the seat. The note under it asks you to measure the child's inseam and compare it with the saddle height.
Two clamps, two heights
The saddle runs 21 to 25.5 inches and the bars 30.5 to 33 inches, each on its own clamp. Set the saddle by the inseam first, then bring the bars to where the hands fall.
What is on this bike
Saddle 21 to 25.5 in
The maker's range for this wheel size, set at the seat clamp.
Handlebar 30.5 to 33 in
The bars adjust separately, so the reach can be set after the saddle.
110 lb seat capacity
Published against this row of the maker's size table.
Basket, bell and mudguards
A front basket, a bell on the bars and mudguards over both wheels, all fitted from the box.
Reflectors at both ends
A reflector at the front and one at the rear, so the bike is visible at dusk.

Who is this perfect for?
Riders 41.3 to 51.2 in tall
The maker's height band for this wheel size, against an inseam of 20 to 24 in.
First time riders
Two detachable training wheels, a coaster brake that needs no grip strength and a hand lever sized for small fingers.
Wet pavement
Mudguards over both wheels are the reason a puddle does not end the ride, and they are fitted rather than sold separately.
What we stand behind
- The suitable age, rider height, inseam, saddle height, handlebar height and 110 lb seat capacity here are the manufacturer's own published figures for the 16 in.
- The manufacturer prints ASTM International and CPSC with CPSIA marks on their own size panel. We repeat that as their claim and quote no certificate number, because none is published.
- No helmet is included. A helmet belongs on every ride, and eight Canadian provinces have helmet legislation, three of them for riders under 18.
- This is a bike for supervised riding on paths, driveways and parks, never on a road.
- The listing title and URL said 12 to 18 inches and 3 to 8 years old, which describe the whole size family. This item is the 16 inch, whose maker row is 4 to 7 years.
- Ships from our United States warehouse, free shipping over $150, and 14 day returns unused in the original packaging.
