We can ship to anywhere in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
An automatic mode sits alongside cool, dry and fan, so the unit picks its own setting from the room temperature. Rated 10,000 BTU ASHRAE and 6,500 BTU SACC for about 350 sq ft, with a 120 degree swing that runs on its own or by hand.
Most portable units give you three modes. A fourth, automatic, is the one people end up leaving it on, because it decides between cooling and fan without anybody touching the panel.

10,000 BTU on the ASHRAE scale, 6,500 BTU on the seasonally adjusted SACC scale, and 350 sq ft of coverage tied to the smaller number. Air flow is 155 CFM. Reading both figures together is the honest way to size one of these.
The louvre sweeps through 120 degrees on its own, or you can set it by hand and leave it. Sweeping suits a room with people in different spots. Fixed suits a desk you do not want a draught on.

The manufacturer puts it at 50 dB, which the scale in this photo places nearer a quiet library than a conversation. The 1 to 24 hour timer switches it off automatically, so it does not run cold through the small hours.
Automatic, cool, dehumidify and fan. Automatic chooses between cooling and fan from the room temperature.
Let it sweep the room or set the vanes and leave them. Both options are on the panel.
Set anywhere in that band, on high or low fan speed.
Hold the sleep key to lock the panel, which is worth knowing because it is not a separate button.
Double the range of most units in this class, which matters in an open plan room.

A 120 degree automatic sweep and a 33 ft remote suit a living room better than a fixed vane and a short range handset.
Automatic mode picks between cooling and fan by itself, so the panel can be left alone.
50 dB is at the quieter end of this category, and the timer shuts it down without you waking up.

It reads the room temperature and switches between cooling and fan without you choosing. On a day that starts cool and ends hot it saves walking over to the panel twice, and it stops the compressor running when plain air movement is enough.
Because they are different tests. ASHRAE is measured under fixed laboratory conditions, while SACC is the seasonally adjusted method that accounts for real temperature and humidity across a cooling season. Danby notes SACC comes out lower for the same machine. Use 6,500 BTU when you are matching this to a room.
Press and hold the sleep mode key. The child lock is combined with that button rather than given one of its own, which is easy to miss in the manual.
It covers openings from 25 to 47 inches on sliding windows, vertical or horizontal. Crank out casement windows need a custom panel cut to the opening, as generic sliding kits do not seal against that shape.
