How much does the canopy cover, and how much headroom is there?
The canopy measures 10 feet by 10 feet, a hundred square feet with square corners, which suits a six to eight seat rectangular table. The canopy edge sits 7.5 feet off the ground and the top of the pole 9 feet, so most adults walk under the edge without ducking.
Does it come with a weighted base?
No. The cross base is included and the weights that sit on it are not. No base weight is published for this model, so we are not going to invent one. A cantilever hangs its whole canopy off one side of the post, so load it more heavily than you would a centre-pole umbrella of the same width and close it when the wind picks up.
What does yarn-dyed mean for the fabric?
The colour goes into the yarn before it is woven, rather than being printed on the surface. The manufacturer rates this 240 gsm fabric as fade resistant and weather resistant. No UPF figure is published, so none is claimed.
How should it be stored over winter?
